Stylekick is building an apparel search and comparison engine that helps shoppers find clothes and outfits relevant to their style and sizing. We do Pandora-style personalization across hundreds of brands and millions of products. For each piece in our catalogue, we build a metadata profile using crowdsourced visual inspection and custom scrapers and that parse product description and title information for descriptive tags (i.e. blue, bootcut, wool, slimfit etc.). Stylekick then builds user preference models via an onboarding process and analysis of browsing and purchasing/liking behavior to gain an understanding of the style and fit preferences of shoppers. We’re a consumer facing web app/iPhone app, but the personalization technology we’re building can be licensed to brands and retailers for their own sites and apps.
