Quanser is a world leader in robotics/mechatronics solutions for research and teaching. We are a 25 year old company but there is a small start-up like group emerging in this hardware company which is focused on building a really cool mobile platform capable of delivering dynamic and immersive technical documents on mobile platforms (iOS and Android). Authors will be able to use a web-based platform to create documents which contain immersive content (e.g. dynamic simulations, full blown visualizations and animations) that are rendered natively on each mobile platform. We think that our product can revolutionize the way that STEM concepts are taught. This project can potentially disrupt the textbook industry or completely change how engineering education is delivered to thousands of students in higher education institutions (e.g. universities, colleges, etc).
