Massuni has built a two-sided network platform for customized goods, where end customers can easily articulate their individual requirements, and a network of suppliers can efficiently fulfill orders. The platform initially targets furniture - an inefficient $260B industry with high product variability. Customers will use Massuni’s patent-pending Configurator to create the furniture they want in seconds, adjusting size, style, and functional elements while seeing prices and photorealistic images in real time. Fabricators receive complete production data ready for the shop floor. Massuni will offer every piece of furniture in the known universe - just as Amazon does with books - then expand into other categories where customization has value. Massuni will start fulfilling orders from its own facility in 2015. Once operations are running smoothly, we will partner with suppliers across geographic regions to minimize shipping costs and capital requirements, while enabling rapid growth.
