IFE chose to produce Expiation because of the compelling story that takes place in both countries like Canada and Colombia. It’s a fictional action/drama inspired by true events targeted to an audience between 25-45 years old. Empathy, compassion, and redemption are just a few words that describe the essence of this project. It touches social issues such as immigration, racism, and war. IFE believes that this story will appeal to the large audience that can relate to these issues, and intends to create a following via social media, festival and commercial theatrical screenings all over the world. What’s more, it is impossible to convey in a single film all the events that were told to IFE by the character whose life story this film was based on. Therefore, IFE sees a great potential to create television series that will provide this project with a long lasting life. IFE believes that this concept has a sizable financial future for all the parties involved.
