BookMantis is a web and mobile application that facilitates textbook sales between students. The core features of BookMantis is that it saves buyers and sellers time and money by automatically matching them together based on location and university. In doing so, it facilitates user interaction, eliminating the need for users to take the time to look for people in their area. Additionally, we save students valuable time by allowing them to list their books by simply scanning the barcode with their mobile device. The book will be listed and automatically priced based on the condition. All books of the same title and condition will be price matched. Furthermore, the seller can set a hidden threshold for which they are willing to sell below the listed price. This allows for buyers to obtain a book at a lower price (if available), but prevents sellers from competing against each other. BookMantis strives to be the most efficient and financially effective book exchange service in the world.
